The Giant Spider (just seeing it makes my skin crawl)

Sunday we took our kids to the Lincoln Log Cabin State Park . We played tourists even watching the 14 minute video and taking pictures taking in all the exhibits. They had old toys including a wooden checkerboard that Shannon used to try to teach Shae how to play checkers. Shannon and I played a game and of course I lost. I do see a rematch in the future . They had old kids clothes that the kids could try on but I couldn't talk my girls into trying them on. It was a gorgeous day to be out, we couldn't have asked for a nicer day. While we were taking a break at picnic table we watched a spider catch an ant and then wrap it up in its web and as Shae says "it sucked all the blood out." Later when we walking around the cabin, they opened the well to show us a giant spider that a taken up residence there. YUCK!!! They had some cool china in the cabins I'm kinda suprised it doesn't walk out of the cabins. In the one cabin you had to walk out of the cabin to get into the bedroom, that would work today with kids. We had history and a nature lesson yesterday. We let the girls feed the cow and you should have seen the girls reaction when he licked their hand.LOL We were checking out the pigs and Annika climbed the fence and the pig tried to eat her flip flop, you should have seen her move!!
Afterwards we went and grabbed some pizza and then we surprised the girls and took them to the movies. We took them to see Night at the Musuem. It was a pretty good movie. It was a great family day.

Okay - that spider makes my skin crawl. It sure looks a heck of a lot like a brown recluse, too. Ewe.
