Well we headed out Saturday morning for Chicago for a 3-day getaway. We were 10 minutes down the road and Shae started throwing up in the backseat. So we turned around and went back home to clean up the mess. Shae said she felt better so we decided to go ahead and try again. She threw up one more time and then she fell asleep. She fell asleep for about an hour and half and when she woke up she was back to her old self. I decided that it was definitely a God thing that she was feeling better. We got to the game with plenty of time to spare and we were able to walk around and check things out. American Airlines was giving away Chicago Fire Scarves, which was great since it was a little chilly. Shannon and Shae have been looking forward to this game for months. I bought the tickets back in April for Shannon's birthday. Shae is a big L.A. Galaxy fan and Shannon likes Chicago Fire so there was a little rivalry going on in the Slabaugh house. It was a great game. Shannon was a little upset with some of the calls and one of the players got kicked out early on so that left the Chicago Fire on player down for the remainder of the game.The game ended up being tied so both teams get a point towards the championship. The girls had a great time and are ready to go back. Shae was kind of disappointed since David Beckham wasn't able to play due to injury, but Buddle and Donavan were able to play so she was excited to see them! She told me "I didn't think I would ever get to be at a real game. " She is still holding out for autographs. She wants to go to L.A. to watch a game there someday, hopefully down the road we can do that!
