Weekend=Relaxtion

Shannon and the girls went to Iowa for his parents 40th wedding aniversary party and after much discussion it was decided that I would stay home and work. Weekends are the busy time at work. So since I had worked so many hours this week I had saturday nite off. A friend and I headed to Champaign for some much needed girl time, a nite of shopping and chatting was just what we needed. We had a great time, I found some great non- practical shoes and I had some Christmas gift card left over so I didn't have to spend a dime on them which was even better. We got home a little late and I slept like a baby, something I havn't done in at least a month.( Shopping is hard work!) Sunday my sister got baptized and afterwards we went to dinner to celebrate Mother's Day a couple of weeks early. I got home early enough to take a two hour nap before taking my sister to Champaign so she could go to youth since my parents had other plans. I had 3 hours to myself and guess where I went ?? Barnes and Noble !! I was drinking my latte and drooling over cookbooks and magazines. It was great and yes I did remember to go get my sister. I only came home with one cookbook it was a hard choice I really wanted 2 or 3!
I'm sure you are wandering if I missed my husband and kids and yes, I did miss them! They are due home in a few hours, I even let them skip school today so they would have a few more hours with grandma
