Laundry

Shaes pocketsbroken crayons, dirty bandaid (Gross), mints, christmas earrings, dum dums and junk
So last week I was doing the usual 30 loads of laundry and I picked up my husbands dirty laundry off the bedroom floor, shoved it in the washer and 10 minutes later I see him attempting to wipe his cell phone off. OOPPS!!! So his phone was in his pocket and since I don't check pockets it went through the washer!! You would have thought that he would have learned his lesson since I have sent his wallet through the washer numerous times and ruined oodles of chapsticks that he leaves in his pockets, but nooo he hasn't. Well it ended up costing me 75.00 to replace it because we didn't have insurance on it so we went on ebay and bought another one because if you buy it retail from verizon its 250.00. That was some expensive laundry. I had to wash Shae's winter coat yesterday and it has numerous layers and pockets, so I decided I should maybe check hers since she has the habit of leaving things in her pockets. I took a picture of the things I found in her pockets and I am so glad that didn't go through the washer. When she was younger she left a whole bunch of crayons in her pockets and they didn't fall out in the washer and I didn't notice them until htey had melted all over the clothes in the dryer and for some reason I opened the dryer before it was done. It took some serios scrubbing and soaking to get it clean. so I'm taking a poll do you think Shannon should take his own stuff out of his pockets (since he is an adult) or should it be my responsibility?

LOL I think Lance is simply scared at the thought of me washing things he might actually need and has always checked his pockets as he takes pants off.

for me if it's on the floor you should check the pockets, if it's in the basket you can wash it. Unless katie threw a pair of pants in the basket during a quick clean... :(
